How do I make an appointment with you? Call or text 864-621-5420 to make an appointment or ask me questions. Please feel free to leave your name and number and will call you as soon as possible. I have morning, afternoon, and some evening hour appointment times Monday through Friday. Can I be treated by a physical therapist BEFORE I go to a doctor? Yes, the Direct Access regulation in South Carolina legally allows anyone
to see a physical therapist without seeing a doctor first. A few insurance
companies and Medicare require a prescription prior to being evaluated by a
physical therapist. Click this link for more information.
Read More Do you file for insurance? No, I do not. However, the receipt that I will provide for you will have all
the correct insurance codes it so you can send it in to your insurance company
for reimbursement. Although I am not in any network, many of the insurance
companies will pay a certain percentage for Physical Therapy services (whereas
they rarely pay anything for massage therapy). How are you different from a Massage Therapist? The biggest difference is in the amount of education. Touch from an experienced manual physical therapist (and my hands are the most important tool I possess) is the cornerstone for restoring movement and health of the fascia (soft tissue), joints and bones of your body. My combined medical background and sensitive touch that I have developed over many years provides me with a unique perspective to choose your best course of treatment. What do you charge? The Initial Evaluation is 2 hours long, costing $260. It includes the evaluation, hands-on treatment and self care education. Follow-up visits are sixty minutes long costing $150. Why should I go to you instead of another Physical Therapist or Massage
Therapist? Because of my many years of experience dealing with people with
every imaginable kind of pain, very often I can quickly find the
source of pain. Then, with my extensive repertoire of treatment
techniques, I
can usually provide some immediate and then long term pain relief.
What can you tell me about pain in general? Here is a link to a great YouTube video that describes how pain works and some ways of dealing with it (in a lovely Australian accent) |
